I am so pleased to see this area making a comeback. The pandemic nearly wiped this place out. Throughout Chinatown, I noticed many more shops open compared to two years ago. Whether it's fresh fish or fresh vegetables, Maunakea Marketplace and Chinatown are the place...Read More

LET THE CELEBRATIONS BEGIN FOR THE LUNAR NEW YEAR OF THE WOOD SNAKE on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. I LOVE this vibrant, colorful, friendly Chinatown marketplace. Maunakea Marketplace is a small fascinating, tightly compressed market of Mom and Pop Chinese businesses clustered together in central Chinatown....Read More

We visited the hair salon that's inside, and the girls were really nice and did a great job. People are very friendly and helpful. You may find different stores and food places.

This place is great!! The thai food, Vietnamese food, dim sum, and especially all the fresh produce, meat, and fish selections.

What impresses me most is the free worship of Budda Guanying inside Maunakea Marketplace. Scents are freely provided with an available lighter, which well displays the philanthropism of Buddhism.

There are plenty of tropical fruits. It's cheaper than the flea market. Some fruits are pre-cut with chili salt bag. Must get sugarcane

Nice place to shop for tropical fruits and vegies. There are good Asian restaurants. It also has an outdoor place for you to sit down relax and listen to live music performed by to old musician.

Good shopping experience there. There are vendors I am particularly loyal to for their good attitudes, service, and price. I recommend Lee fruits stall that is hidden in between the ships near the street and the food court.

Nice market that faces a pedestrian street in Chinatown. This Chinatown is bustling and lively, with the local community still there shopping for fresh vegetables, medicine and of course the stores selling Chinatown goodies. Visited weekend before Lunar New Year and was a nice experience...Read More

Best food on this side of the island. You can get so many different delicious foods from so many amazing cultures here. I highly recommend the adobo and the dim sum place. All of the poke was great and the sashimi was legit. My favorite...Read More

It was nice how this marketplace had lots of open seating. We went on a Sunday in August at around 1:30 PM. Also, it is a nice relief from the hot, sunny to have the newly built air conditioning.

There was a nice variety of Asian foods. I got a one choice combo at one of the Pinoy vendors that hit the spot. ~$5 to be nice and full! I definitely want to go back at a better time. I had gone right before closing. There’s...Read More

We found every type of crack seed imaginable and some fresh fruits and some noodles and some sesame balls. A little bit of everything. And not a bad price either.
