Today I went to Marshals, as I got to the register during my transaction the lady at register 1 asked me if I wanted to get a marshals credit card. I declined and informed her I used to have one and I just stopped using it. It was around 3PM and she was wearing glasses. After I said no, and she finished my transaction I was about to say “thank you have a go-“ that’s all I got to say. The lady proceeded to say “bye, bye, bye, bye, bye” in a condescending and slow tone…until I walked away. She didn’t let me talk, I had to even bag my own items because they were falling out of the bag. What if I would’ve changed my mind? That could’ve been a card for her but instead I left with no credit card and no good experience. This is actually the worse customer service I’ve had a retail store. I love marshals….. I take my family members when they come out of town, my friends when they need clothing or house hold items and decor. If you’re looking for a better customer service experience take your shopping and money elsewhere. I hope she wasn’t a manger because what type of example are you setting for your employees? And if she’s not a manager what type of people are being hired? If you apply for a customer service job, and you cant do the customer service part then what are you doing there? It sucks because I love Marshall’s and it takes one and experience to ruin the amazing experience that has been built for my friends and family over a “credit card” throughout the years. I hope there is retraining involved and action so this doesn’t happen to others.
