My husband and I have been to many African Markets in Texas. We have been to the markets in Killeen, Temple, Austin, San Antonio, and even Austin. 😅 So far, Mama Hono is the best African market we have been to. 😄
It is well maintained and organized. It is a little pricier than other markets for certain items, but it seems to have a better quality and selection of goods. Most items were in stock, though the yellow garri wouldn't be in for few days. We definetly will be back though. For price reference, the 2 lb pounded yam was $9.99, the 5 lb white garri was $8.85, and the 2 liter palm oil was $15.60. The atmosphere was very welcoming as well. 😊
