I kept picking up clothes I knew I’d never actually wear, stuck in my usual pattern of black pants and white shirts. As a plus-size woman, shopping for clothes I actually like has always been a challenge. I was even on the phone with my daughter, trying to get help breaking out of my style rut. That’s when Ashley walked by and kindly asked if I was okay. I wasn’t, but she changed that real quick. She took me over to the Last Act section and said, “Let’s see if we can find something different.” And she did! She picked out some shirts and a blazer I never would’ve thought to try on, and once I did, I was surprised by how much I actually liked them. The colors were beautiful and outside my usual comfort zone in the best way. Ashley was so patient that she truly became my personal shopper. She gave me honest opinions, not just a sales pitch, and made me feel like a friend, not just a customer. I’ve never had a sales associate take that kind of time and care with me.
Thanks to her, I had a genuinely great time shopping for something I rarely say. Thank you, Ashley. Macy’s is lucky to have you.
