I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but after my experience with this business, I feel compelled to share my concerns. I would never recommend or do business with this establishment again.
I visited the shop around 5 p.m. to have a tire replaced. After they changed the driver’s side tire, I asked the technician if any other tires needed replacement, as I didn’t want to get on the highway without ensuring my car was safe. I live about 35 minutes away and needed peace of mind for the drive. The technician mentioned that the front passenger tire might need replacing but said he would check. After inspecting it, he assured me that the tire was fine and replacing it would be unnecessary and a waste of money.
As I was leaving, I told my boyfriend I thought it was great to see a woman running the business, a rare sight in an industry dominated by men. I even considered returning because I wanted to support the shop for that reason alone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Shortly after leaving the shop, we stopped at a drive-through. Upon getting back on the highway, my car started making an extremely loud rattling noise, as if the tire was flat. I immediately called the shop, and the owner—who had previously identified herself as the woman I had admired—answered the phone. Despite explaining my situation, she bluntly told me there was nothing she could do since the shop was closed, even though it was only shortly after 6 p.m. I explained that I don’t live in the area and was concerned about the safety of my trip home, but she refused to help.
What happened next is what really shocked me. The owner said, “You should have replaced the other tire when you were thinking about it.” When I mentioned that her employee had checked the tire and assured me it was fine, she responded by saying, “Well, he’s slow and irritates me.” I was appalled by the unprofessionalism. Not only did she disrespect her own employee, but she also admitted that the person who worked on my car was inexperienced. How could she allow someone unqualified to work on my vehicle?
Additionally, when I first arrived, she couldn’t even remember how much she had quoted me for the service, which should have been a red flag from the start.
This experience was beyond disappointing. As someone who works in insurance, I deal with clients regularly, and I could never imagine treating them this way or speaking so disrespectfully about my team. Rest assured, I will be reporting this incident and taking the appropriate actions.
