WATCH OUT! They have my previous broken car listed for sale. 2018 GMC Terrain diesel purchased in April 2023, had a bad experience being pushed into buying our first car with no ability to speak up for ourselves in our wants and needs. Couldn’t negotiate financing term, they checked credit 5 different places and every one shows up on my credit report. SIX DAYS LATER, blew a tire on my brand new car on the side of the interstate and was in such a panic I had to call 9-1-1 to get to safety. Called Luther and informed them the tire condition at sale was unacceptable. Their response was “well that’s the car you bought”. Once we were negotiating selling the car back, the GM Kurt agreed that that wasn’t right and refunded me the cost of new tires. I brought this car in 5 times for service on the same issue, they continuously dismissed my concerns for issues with shifting. At the time of the 5th visit we handed keys over and spoke to a service manager who also agreed what had been done previously and the way we had been treated wasn’t right. There it sat until we sold it back. They couldn’t get a part to fix the timing chain which was causing the issues shifting. They still likely haven’t fixed it, and it’s listed for sale! Everytime I called, I got ran through a loop of various people that still couldn’t help since I had specific people on my case. It took us a solid month to sell back the car since they couldn’t agree on a buyback, and GM didn’t help either. Between getting our original offer, negotiating, agreeing, and receiving our check, it took 4 visits to the location and excuses for why they weren’t meeting their standards. Our overall experience here and at every other Luther location we’ve visited has been absolutely horrific and degrading. This dealer had multiple chances to make things right and treat their customers like human beings with respect. Instead, they treat you like a commission check and throw you out the door and when something goes wrong with your vehicle they guarantee it takes a minimum of 2 visits to fix. We will never be buying a car again from any Luther location because of this, and had they made things right and bought back the car they sold us that couldn’t be fixed, we’d be returning customers.
