Even when i know im paying more than i would at Vons or 7-11 Home Depot etc. Lucky 98 has a wide variety of items to check out. From Laundry and cleaning supplies, toys, a good selection of tools. I even lucked up and got a Slim Jim for opening car doors for under $3.00 and those aren't as easy to come by anymore. I usually keep one wire coat hanger or a few around the house in case someone i know locks their keys in their car or for some light welding on an exhaust. They sell bags of ice but you have to ask at the counter and they are also a drop off and pick up point for UPS package's as well. There's party decorations and mylar balloons, ice cream, Lottery, Money transfers and bill pay capabilities. A good selection of food stuffs and candy, produce, milk, butter, bread, cheese, sandwich meat, and drinks. Like i said some things are inflated but they cant give it away and stay in business but there are other things there that are priced way low that you can snap up if you have a use for them. It's a family owned business so you will see one of two people there working all the time. The husband is a very kind and joyous individual. He takes the time to greet and learn his regular neighborhood customers names. Very friendly. The wife is no nonsense. kinda coarse and not so friendly. Do NOT shoplift!!! She will print out your picture and put you on blast. Probably why shes not as friendly. LOL Over all good little pitstop. I always ask how business is because i hate to see the little shops close up.
