Please refer to my wife’s review on our flooring installation.Lowe’s hires out Ultimate Home Services, who is basically a liability shield that sub-contracts a smaller company, in this case shine home services (when we tried to file an insurance claim for the damage shine caused, the insurer kept saying we can’t pay for flooring damages, they’re not covered for that type of work).They poured self leveler all over our home without priming our OSB sub floor or sealing the seams. This meant that moisture from the cement was sucked into the structural subfloor of our home and cement running into our basement. The result was about 10k in damages to the structure of our home, concrete raining into our finished basement through the seams, and cement everywhere tracked everywhere. That resulted in about another 7k worth of damages to our carpet, ceiling, walls, deck, and driveway. The day they did the pour I came home from work to 5 guys, covered in cement, sitting on our furniture and contemplating laying LVP on cement they had poured roughly two hours before (touching it with their fingers to see if it was dry). They also used my tools, tried to leaf blow the cement dry, and were in a bunch of parts of the house they had no scope of work in, at times closing the doors behind them into rooms and our basement. There were tons of shady things they did while in our home that made my wife feel unsafe. When I called ultimate home services I was expecting the manager to be as astounded as I was. His only and repeated response was “listen we do this every day.”This company has no doubt caused serious structural damage in hundreds, if not thousands of homes across the country, and through a series of subsidiaries maintains legal protection from all of it. When you sign with Lowe’s, you waive your rights to a class action law suit, and this is exactly why. After 14 weeks and 17k in damages our final offer from Lowe’s and insurance collectively is 4.5k to pay for the damages. Due to the cost to just fix the damages not being covered we’re still living in a home with no flooring at this time.Please for your own safety, health, and happiness, do not use Lowe’s for any in home services. We’re going to see what other avenues we can pursue to get awareness spread on the dangers of doing work through Lowe’s.

The most nightmare of an experience I have ever had. Do NOT use Lowes for floor installation. We thought we were using a reputable company but they subcontracted out a company called Ultimate Home Services who subcontracted out a company called “Shine at Home Cleaning” to install our LVP flooring and in the process caused $17,000 worth of damages in our home. We are located in Roscoe, IL. They poured concrete on the floor and it leaked through the floor into our basement and was raining concrete onto our belongings and carpet. Not one worker spoke English, and they were using my husbands tools without asking or having permission. They tracked concrete throughout our home- on the walls, onto our wooden bannister, concrete footprints on our front deck, back deck, driveway, bathroom floor (since they were using the bathroom), and all over the carpet. On top of this, they were walking through the freshly poured concrete to get to our bathroom so it was all messed up right away anyways aside from tracking it into our hallway. They also were trying to dry the self leveler with my husbands Milwaukee leaf blower without permission. They also went down into our basement and closed the door to try and hide that the concrete was dripping down there. They took my brand new never been used Bissell spot cleaner that I just received as a wedding gift and had in the basement with all of our gifts since the upstairs was being worked on and sucked concrete into it as well- using it without permission AGAIN. This all happened in August 2023 and we are STILL fighting with Lowes corporate claims to pay for the damages. To fix the subfloor alone, we had to pay a contractor $9400, and Lowe’s is only offering $2,000 to fix it. So far we have had to spend $7,400 out of pocket for that, and we still have to replace our carpet since we’ve been told the concrete cannot be cleaned out of the carpet, paint the walls and deck since they have concrete, buy a new Bissell Spot cleaner, and reseal the driveway. The costs we have been quoted is another $7500 for all of that. We are newlyweds and had just moved into our home a month prior to this incident occurring- so we have been living in our home with bare subfloor for the last 14 weeks because of Lowes Corporate being so awful. We have over 100 photos but here are just a few. Please do not make the same mistake we did- find a local and reputable place to install your flooring and DO NOT sign a contract with Lowe’s to install anything. Please feel free to share!!

I never thought I would be writing this. We went to Lowe's to buy a washer and use a newly opened credit card to purchase it. The credit card had a 20% off pass.Some employees passed me and my husband by and said hi. When we were ready to purchase, we tried the appliance call button which did not work. I walked over to cabinets where 2 employees were sitting and they opted to page Jon over to help us.He set up everything for delivery and when it was time to pay I said I wanted to see the screen to know what I am paying for. The 20% off was not there. He said he would take care of it after I selected yes on the keypad. A receipt printed from the machine. He took us to customer service and said it was the system that would not let him adjust the price and he would call me back in 30 to 45 minutes. No call back. I called to follow up and was told it would be another 30-45 minutes. Mind you, this was after 8pm when I was told this again.My husband called to speak with a manager. Curt would NOT listen to the situation and cut off my husband and raised his voice. This is not professional. He should have listened and looked into the situation. Curt was not going to do this. I don't understand how he has had a job with the company this long.I spoke to corporate and was told the coupon would not work because the washer was on sale. Jon should have helped me figure out why it did not work before charging my card. I felt robbed of my money so I cancelled the sale.We reordered the washer online. Delivery came into my home and told me that I need a plumber and they would not haul my washer away. I closed the NEW water valves myself. Delivery said the plastic threads on the old washer were broken so he would not disconnect it. I said I will cut the hoses myself so you can take it away. He then disconnected the old washer and told me the cold water hose was leaking. I said I will put a bucket under it. He took the washer and said he will NOT hook up the new one. I said my husband will do it.After they left, I went to put a bucket under the hose. Zero drops of water came out of it. It is not leaking.Never again. I will never buy from Lowe's again.
