This store is twice the distance from my house as the location near me, but definitely worth the trip! The manager, Tim, does a great job of setting the example for great customer service. I often see him on the floor helping customers find things, opening up checkout lanes when lines are getting long, helping out at the returns desk (personal experience on this one with him on a complicated return involving adding the warranty, after the fact, on a tankless water heater), and organizing the aisles.
Yesterday I went in to get a dryer vent cleaning kit and the first person I met was Alberto, who knew exactly where the item was located and, rather than point with his chin and say "over there somewhere", like most of the associates at many stores do these days, he walked me over to it and asked if I needed him to help me find anything else.
Then, as I walked around brainstorming on ways I might be able to extend the length on the cleaning kit without having to buy a second one, I ran into Brandon, who was more than willing to hear my idea and jump into the mix with me to try to come up with a creative solution.
He showed me where different things could be found which might work to engineer what I had in mind. I'm telling you, he walked me around almost half of the store! As we walked past Tim, who was, of course helping another customer find something, Brandon sunned up my dilema in one sentence and asked for his advice. In about two seconds, Tim had an idea and Brandon led me right to the item Tim suggested.
This experience is very similar to the ones I've had in the past at this store, especially with Veronica. At such a young age, she has the gift of service, rare few associates have these days. If you see her in the aisles and are in need of something, I recommend asking her for assistance. You will be very impressed!
I have been in Customer Service for almost 40 years, and I know good (and bad) service when I receive it. These folks at this store are the real deal when it comes to truly caring for their customers, and it seems they enjoy what they do! Thank you!
