Lowe's Prattville store staff are absolutely awesome. The in-store team is helpful, knowledgeable, and truly makes shopping an enjoyable experience. I had high hopes for my purchase after receiving such great assistance selecting my appliances—a refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove—on November 23rd.
Unfortunately, the delivery and post-purchase experience was a completely different story.
On December 15th, I received a text saying the dishwasher would be delivered early. The installation was perfect, and the installer was fantastic—probably the best part of this experience. However, the issues started with the rest of the delivery on Christmas Eve:
Refrigerator: The delivery team claimed they couldn’t remove the doors of my Samsung refrigerator to fit through my doorways, even though the doors could be removed; which I verified along with the dimensions through the manufacturer. As a result, the fridge was taken back, and I had to return to the store to sign for a refund.
Washer and Dryer: While these were delivered and hooked up, the team failed to connect the water line to the dryer for the steam function. I only discovered this when my wife tried to use it days later.
Stove: A week before the scheduled delivery, I was told it might not arrive on time, and it didn’t. Another delivery date was set for New Year’s Eve, but the stove never showed up despite receiving a confirmation text the day before.
To resolve these issues, I had to repeatedly contact Lowe’s Montgomery (where my items were being handled) and eventually returned to the store to request refunds for the stove and refrigerator. The entire process has been frustrating and time-consuming.
While I greatly appreciate the professionalism and support from the in-store team, the delivery process and lack of follow-through were unacceptable. I sincerely hope Lowe’s addresses these service gaps. If the delivery process matched the in-store experience, this would have been a five-star review. I’ll consider shopping here again only if significant improvements are made.
