CVS pharmacy on Palani Road did not fill my doctors prescription correctly. And since I walked away from the pharmacy and came back they refused to give me a refund. I will never have another prescription filled at CVS.

Not too sure if maybe this Longs Drug Store might be closing. The shelves for the most part were empty. We were shocked! No ibuprofen, needed travel size items, none!, looked for teeth cleaning picks, none???

The absolute worst pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with. Prescriptions are never ready within the timeframe they tell you. Often they are out of certain medications or can only give customers a partial refill because they are low on drugs. On top if this , far too often employees just don’t show up for work and customers can’t get their prescriptions. And let’s not talk about the drug prices. One of my medications is $90 at this location but only $16 at Walmart pharmacy. That’s with a GoodRX discount card! The ONLY reason I get prescriptions refilled here is because they are the only pharmacy that carries one of my meds. This pharmacy is terrible in every way. The rest of the store isn’t bad. But I refuse to spend money here because of the terrible pharmacy. UPDATE May 2023: Again my monthly prescription was out of stock as it was last month in April. Dropped off in person on a Thursday but couldn’t pickup until Tuesday. Even my insurance company said this is not acceptable. I’m guessing the customer service at the pharmacy is so bad because they hear complaints too often. Being rural, customers don’t have a lot of choices. Longs CVS has a monopoly and they know it. The store itself is very nice and friendly staff. But the pharmacy is not. Update June 2023 Again my medication was not in stock. This time I ask to speak to the pharmacist. That was another waste time. I asked him “how can we fix this, continually being out of medication” He replied “Fix what? We don’t run out of you medication often”. I reply “you’ve been out of stock the last 2 month” and his reply “that’s not very often”. It was like dealing with a person who had no intention of resolving a problem or caring anything about the customer and showing absolutely no compassion in trying to help me. His parting words were “that’s just how it works”, no thank you, no sorry, no goodbye! I live rural, it a 90+ minute drive to this pharmacy, there really no other options, Longs has the monopoly here in Hawaii, they know it and they don’t care about their customers. I’ll update each month! Maybe corporate will see this and try to help. But I’m not holding my breath. Longs pharmacy in Kona Hi is the worst business I’ve ever had to deal with! The store section is exact opposite but I don’t spend any money in the store due to the terrible pharmacy.
