Lexington Peddlers Mall

My husband and I love going to the Peddlers Mall. This one in particular on East New Circle Road is two stories! We could spend all day in there, lol. It's basically like an indoor flea market with lots of vintage books and items along with newer items as well. The only thing we were disappointed with.. some items were not marked and the vendor owner was not at his booth so we were not allowed to purchase a few items. This was disappointing but still a great place to go if you like looking at vintage items and for something to do.

Ugh. Huge place -- 100s and 100s of booths and dealers. Mostly flea market rejects - Mattresses, t-shirts, kitchen cabinets.... one place fulled with paper and vintage antiques smalls, toys, books and tschotskies. Dug into a misc junk-box found a small toy (everything in the box was at most valued at 50 cents to $1) but because my item was unpriced the front desk wouldn't sell it - at any price!? VERY Frustrating experience. The dealer lost an opportunity to make a sale (I offered $5) snd the mall lost an opportunity on the commission. I can understand the principal but I was treated rudely by front desk staff (one claimed she would "loose her job!?") She very well might -- she lost a sale and a customer for life. (All over a broken toy part from a dollar-box). I won't ever go back...

You can find just about anything at the Peddlers Mall. Recently it was remodeled, an elevator added to get to the second floor, and changes are still underway. Food trucks are there on weekends, and you can shop for hours! Hundreds of vendors, big and small, offer a lot to choose from. I also have a booth there, filled with discounted new baby stuff. Booth 6849-come see us!

I do not usually do this, unless it is a positive experience. However, I have to say that I had a very, very bad experience with trying to buy a Christmas gift from Booth #20 from the Peddler’s Mall in Lexington. Now, this is in no way a review of the lady who actually did make this right. So, I went there to purchase a vanity for my daughter. When I got to Booth #20, I saw a really nice, very pretty, vanity. It was black and white with a black and white mirror. The price posted on this vanity with the attached mirror was $65. I went up to the front to buy this vanity and paid the $65 posted on it. I was given a receipt that had the item purchased, which was a black and white vanity, for the price of $65. My son took the receipt and placed it on the vanity. In the meantime, I told them that I was in my car and that I had to go get a truck to come back to pick up the vanity. They said that was ok. We left the mall and I got a phone call from the front desk, which was where I had purchased the vanity, because the people who rent the booths are not there in person and you have to pay for everything up front at this desk. The person proceeded to tell me that there had been a mistake and that I had purchased only a mirror and that the vanity was not for sale. I tried talking to them and telling them that I had purchased the vanity it was on the receipt. However, they said that it was not what I had purchased. They insisted I only bought a mirror. So, I’m quite frustrated and I called back and asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation and she said she’d call me back. She called back and said that they explained what had happened and that there was nothing that she could do. I decided to get out and look at the receipt that my son had put on the vanity after I paid for it. It was printed out that I purchased a black and white vanity for $65. Also, on the back of the mirror was a price tag for $24 for a mirror. So, I called that lady back and told her about the receipt. She once again told me that she’d call me back. She called back and said that the owner said I could pick the vanity up so I agree to come the next day. Owner called me the next morning apologizing about what had happened and agreed it looked as though the vanity and mirror were included. but she told me to come get the refund and gift card and to return the mirror and that the vanity was of sentimental value and that the owner of the vanity had taken the vanity out of the building. I go back to the mall . I go to the front desk and told the lady that I was the one returning the mirror. She knew of the situation, but proceeded to ask me what I had been told was going to happen. I told her that I was told I was going to get a refund of $65 and a gift card. She had a weird look on her face and told me that the owner of the vanity had decided that I could actually get the vanity if I still wanted it. I had my mother with me and asked the lady if I could show it to her first. She said I could. We go to see the vanity and the vanity was not a vanity at all, but a gray and white stand like a hallway table. I was very surprised, because that stand was not the vanity I had purchased. It was gray and white and was totally different than the vanity. I go tell her that the stand I just saw was not the same thing as what I saw and purchased the day before. She told me it was. I asked her if she saw the vanity that I had purchased. She said yes and that she had helped the owner carry the vanity out of the building the night before. So, I said, so you know what it looked like, if you helped carry it out and you’re going to tell me that the stand over there is the vanity I purchased yesterday. She had such a look on her face like oh crap. So, I was pretty insulted at that point. I felt like they were trying to call me a liar and that they thought I was stupid. Anyways, she proceeded to give me a refund and the gift card to be continued on another review as it’s to long to finish. I have placed pictures of it as you can see it’s not a vanity

Nice big place, if your a lady that carrys personal items in your purse, you may want to leave in the car as they may invade your privacy, its annoying hearing people threaten to search your personal purse, over the intercom, and its because its so massive but nobody walks around to help you or see if you need help. Good selection of modern or crafted items, with some vintage showcase toys or sports cards

So, my daughter posted a review about a booth (#20) issue we recently had and was almost instantly contacted by the owner. Then, she commented on that review and again lied about the vanity being refused. We DID NOT refuse the vanity, we refused to take a gray and white hall table looking stand, which they tried to pass off as the black and white vanity that she had actually purchased the day before. What was very upsetting and disappointing to us was that we were buying that vanity as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter and we fell in love with that one, but then they tried to pass off that stand as the vanity. I will post the messages that she texted to my daughter’s phone. I was with her during this experience and I am very upset about this situation. I just wanted to clear things up. We do not lie or try to take advantage of anyone. We did not ask for anything more than the refund or the actual vanity we had purchased. The gift card was offered by her and honestly , we feel it was deserved after what all we had been thru. Then , when she told my daughter that if she didn’t take down the review that she would expire the gift card and would give it back once the review was taken down, I got pretty upset. What we got upset most about was the fact that they assumed we were dumb enough to not know the difference between a black and white vanity and a gray and white stand that was like a hall table stand. We just simply wanted her to know how the person selling their stuff at booth 20 was treating her customers. Evidently she didn’t want to know. We did not say anything bad about the mall and even stated that it wasn’t against them and that we appreciated the refund and gift card. So, when she texted my daughter what she did, I was extremely upset. Yes, I agree that negative reviews hurt a business and that is not what we done. It’s also people like her that hurt a business, because of how she treated a customer who was just trying to let her know how she was treated by booth 20 and then threatened her to take her review down with the gift card. We asked for the name of the person who rents booth 20 and they refused to give us the name. So, we had to do the review without that particular person’s name. Anyways, our reason for the review was, because we want other customers to be aware of this issue and to please make sure they take what they purchase from that booth as soon as they pay for it and not leave it there for any reason. Oh, and also, we were wanting to go on, while we were there, and use the refund and gift card to find my grandkids other Christmas gifts, because we live almost an hour away. The lady who was at the front desk , the one who gave us the refund and gift card, approached us and told us that corporate had called and told her to come ask us to leave the building right then. We did leave, but I think that was very unprofessional and plain ridiculous, because we had not done anything wrong to be asked to leave.

I oove this place, but people selling movies need to allow us to open and look at them. We bought 4 movies yesterday and they weren't in it or they were the wrong movie. It sucks to spend money on them, knowing the person selling knew it wasn't in there. Theyre taped shut meaning they looked. Stop scamming people.The actual peddlers mall is amazing and I love it though! They are pet friendly as well!

Unfortunately had to come edit my previous review. It is Nov 12th, the Governor's mask mandates and other executive orders were upheld by the Supreme Court today, and y'all are in here blocking the door with no masks on. Right next to the mandatory mask sign. Every other employee that had a mask was wearing it well below their nose. Still love the place, but I'm done shopping here for the foreseeable future.

This place is awesome and I go here all the time. There is so much stuff here and it is a 2 story building. There is no way u can go through it all in one trip. I spend a couple hrs at a time every time I go and I been going for several months and still haven’t got to search through every booth. I’m pretty sure I see different stuff there every time I go so the sellers must add to it all the time. I always have a ball every time I got. I totally recommend that everyone check it out!

I actually like this place there are some really good sellers but!!! In main room at the entrance for the booth with all the trading cards beware!! I purchased a sealed starter deck of star wars CCG cards from the glass booth with the revolving buttons to show different card sets and it had been resealed after being packed with used cards from other decks without the potential high value cards, that seller is not to be trusted!!!

I have shopped here for several years and today when walking in, one of the cashiers rudely said to me “since you have a large diaper bag, we may need to check it before you leave” as I just got done changing my baby in the restroom!!! Literally have my child with me! Now I know, there has always been a sign on the door letting customers know that the have the right to do so. BUT as soon as I walked away to shop, an announcement was played AGAIN about the diaper bags. So I just left, you will not have my business anymore!!!!

I had a good time there as well as my son, his wife, and children.Most of the booths were in good shape a few were very over crowded and since I am handicapped I could not shop them. That was ok, I had money to spend and just spent it in other booths.The overall shop was much cleaner then I expected and the staff was friendly.We have already decided to make this a fun outing from time to time.It's worth a trip you'll be surprised at what you can find.

What is up with the front room filled with outdated wedding junk? Most of the stuff in there is pure garbage and the prices are outrageous. Many dealers have stuff in there for 5 bucks and its literally from the dollar store. Trash fills the parking lot the restrooms are filthy. This store used to be decent but its gotten even sleazier.

Had a ball rummaging around this place. Plan on spending at least a couple of hours - I didn't realize how big it was. Most of it is 2 stories, but has a big shiny new elevator (held 4 people & 4 shopping carts!). I was on the hunt for some mirrors - found 2 "fixer-uppers" & a 3rd that's ready to hang; all at good prices. Also picked up some ceramics to use for yard art, plus some ironware - a bowl & two tiny creamers - to add to my collection. Just make sure you like what you buy - no returns. Also, they do not accept checks.

Huge, lot of merchandise, variety of items and worth the trip. Warning, don’t ask the cashiers to hold your items while you shop - no matter the size of the item they will not do that for you. Also the start of the line is not close to the cashiers so don’t take offense if someone just walks up to pay - they may not see where the line starts.

The place is quite interesting. For my first time being there it's just different from anything I'm used to. Bought a giant metal chicken and a pig. A little confused as the prices that were posted were not what we were charged in a good way for me. Just not sure I understand why there are prices on things and nothing posted about discounts. 🤷‍♂️ anyways. Ofcourse it's all booths but a register up front. Things being sold there could just be people reselling things I found a made in Mexico tag on my chicken that was half torn off and it was clearly a largely produced item. We went there because we believed things were more local instead of buying the ones from Tractor supply. There's a large assortment of things there. From plain junk to good fun.

I love shopping here! You never know what you're going to find and it's just a nice relaxing afternoon to go through most of the downstairs. The upstairs is iffy has to whether you're going to find anything it seems like a lot of glorified garage sale booths up there. There are a handful of nice ones that line the very inside where you can look down on the rest of the store but the exterior ones up there aren't great. The only critique I can have about it is that their staff is typically not as friendly as some people like because they are shuffling through so many people in a day they just want to get people through. But the bathrooms are very limited.

You can still occasionally find something cool here, but in the last year or so this Peddlers Mall has become overrun with “boutique” booths who think their grandma’s hand-me-down dresses and their awful Etsy-style jewelry are worth high-end department store prices. The “antique” booths are also out of control — nine times out of ten, what they consider an “antique” is just rusted junk or machine-made porcelain, but they price them as if they were ultra-rare collectibles. If the booths aren’t based around delusional prices, they’re just chock full of trash, sometimes literally. I’ve seen booths full of used coloring books, previously owned (scratched) phone cases, old power cords, bug-ridden plushies, broken toys, and other absolutely useless things. I really wish the Peddlers Mall management would crack down on these kinds of booths; they make it seem as if renting here is less expensive than renting a storage locker or paying for a dumpster service, so people just throw their things in here.

You can usually find something that makes your heart sing, but be prepared to spend a fair amount of time among the folds looking for it - or don't; just remember time moves differently here so keep tabs on the clock. (Lol!) There's a little something for everyone - junk, treasures, oddities, and one-of-a-kind finds! Thrift away! 🆒️

Lots of surprises in this place. Walked thru the main entrance and the spaces were everywhere. Then there was an adjacent area that had even more spaces. Then there was another new section that was ever so huge. Before I left, someone mentioned a third floor level but by then I was already wore out and figured I would see it next time we visit Lexington. Highly recommend. Very nice people.

This place is huge. I think they probably have a little bit of everything even though there's some empty stalls upstairs now. But there's still a large selection of items. If you actually took time to look at things it would take a good 4 to 6 hours to take most of it in. I would have stayed longer but my wife is not feeling well so I'll definitely be coming back. By the way this place is like a maze. But if you can find yourself to the center that's where the stairs are and then you can locate yourself pretty easily.

Horrible place.** Specific UPDATE** I've been to this location a few times. While the place DOES look like its going thru renovation, you really need to upgrade and renovate your staff. They treat customers like dirt. They act like they could care less about you being in there or buying anything. They have their noses up in the air half the time and act like they are better than everyone. Not sure who the black haired lady with glasses is behind the counter but she is rude and unapproachable. I've seen fish with more personality than her. This place has been going downhill for months. I ended up leaving my items on the table and not purchasing anything because of how rude they are. Like seriously? Its a flea market with used items. They act like they work at Macy's. They also think everyone is trying to steal from them. I love supporting the vendors and small business but I cannot imagine that anyone can be happy with the customers they are losing with their entitled and terrible attitudes. This is by far the worst employees of any location I have visited. You would think they would be worried about the customers walking out and not returning. Not sure how this place is still open.

I love this place. They have tons of things and its all so cool. They have old stuff and new stuff, and it seems as if you can find anything. Books, clothes,trinkets,furniture, and lots more. They have tons of antique. There is lots of space and it has a lot of rooms, you might not get to all of them. They also have food, but be careful some it is old. That's something my friend says though, since I can't be bothered to look at the expiration date. It really is a great place

I love this store! The aesthetic is on point and there’s always some nice vintage clothing to find. Although, I would say that the employees could work on being a little more friendly. It seems like every time I go In there, they’re never really in the mood. No smile, no greetings, very minimal to no eye contact. I understand people have off days, but it’s a bit awkward every time I walk in.

Not sure how this place is in business. The folks in the front today were rude. I asked them to hold something while I continued to look but was rudely told they did not hold anything. If I rented a booth there I would not be happy. I bought the one small piece of furniture and left. As my daughters were trying to get the piece out the one door both employees just stared at them and never attempted to open the other door for them. Rude! I will not be back. I’m giving it two stars because there was a lot of merchandise for sale in the booths. There were many booths I never made it to because of their policy.

Just, what an experience! This place is wall to wall, filled with the unusual and not so unusual, but it's so interesting to spend an hour-or several-browsing. During our most recent visit we discovered a whole other area of merchandise that we didn't know existed. That was a surprise! My advice, go early and plan to stay a while. If you don't mind digging for treasure, you'll have a great time and might find something you can't live without.

The booths were really nice. The whole place was very clean. You can find about anything you want in this place...and a lot of things you never knew you wanted. The only downside was that things, I felt like (and this is my review) were a little (a lot really) overpriced. We didn’t stay long and maybe had we plundered around more and looked through more booths we would have found some (at least a couple) good deals, but I wasn’t gonna beg for a reasonably priced, used item!

It's a nice place to shop but they really need to do some remodeling upstairs, they still have shaggy carpet from the 70s and its supposed to orange of all colors but it's so dirty it looks brown, and it has the most god awful smell. The entire place is pretty well air conditioned except upstairs, there is no air conditioning at all and it is super hot up there. I don't see how they can even rent booths up there with the state that it's in.

Massive store, but very rude and unhelpful staff! We needed in the locked case for two things, first employee completely ignored us asking for help, then the second employee said she'd be right back with the key, never came back. We waited long enough that the announcement of the store closing in 25 minutes happened, went to the lady at the front to ask for help to which she rudely responded that we'd have to go to the back of the line and wait. By the time we made it through line the store was going to close in 4 minutes, cashier was very unfriendly- we didn't even bother asking to get in the case by then, I'll just make my purchase elsewhere. Won't be back again.Update: Regarding the stores response, the concept of waiting in line to make a purchase from the showcase was understood, however,1. The first two employees were NOT behind the counter when we asked for help. We also saw them helping other customers at the showcase, not at the counter.2. First employee looked right at us and walked off. Second employee lied and said she would be right back, left us there waiting. Third employee was at the counter, was very unfriendly and short with us and told us to just get in line. Absolutely none of these employees used a walkie talkie.3. There is absolutely no excuse for the unfriendliness and rudeness that was experienced with all of the employees we interacted with. I'm not sure what everyone's issue was with us, but we were polite and patient the entire time and just wanted the same treatment in return, its not a lot to ask. Kindness goes a long way.Thanks, but no thanks.. won't be shopping there again.
