I almost never rate restaurants or anything on Google, but when I do, it’s because I have to. You need to know that this is an amazing bakery. My wife and I work nearby and we stumbled upon this bakery because we saw the name in the strip mall and wanted to try it out. The first visit, we came for some pastries and tarts. Their chocolate hazelnut tart is INCREDIBLY delicious. Imagine the perfect chocolate—neither too sweet nor too bitter—on top of a crust that’s a little crumbly, a little crispy, and a little soft all at the same time, with the perfect sprinkling of sea salt in the middle. I saved that bite for last, and it was perfect.
The pastry chef who owns this bakery trained in New York, but the pastries practically taste like they were imported straight from France. My wife and I visited again for their baguette, and later on for some croissants. You have to eat them when they’re freshly baked; there’s nothing more decadent than a buttery, flaky, crispy-on-the-outside, soft-in-the-inside, WARM pain au chocolat or plain croissant in the morning. I’d call in the morning to ask when they’re ready so you can enjoy them warm, but they’re just as good at room-temperature too. On another occasion, my wife and I took one or two home and made our own sandwiches with stuff at home atop the croissants cut length-wise. Delicious.
I haven’t tried their macarons, cakes, and many of their other treats yet; I can’t wait to try it all over the coming months and (I assume) years.
Give this bakery your business. You won’t be disappointed. Especially in these days of COVID-19, it’s important to support small business owners.
