I was researching the VW Atlases and came across one for sale at this dealership. I live in New Mexico and the dealership was seven hours away. I contacted them, told them I was interested in purchasing the vehicle but asked if they did shipping. They said yes. But that was the extent of the details so I got a loan and they sent out a notary and all the paperwork was taken care of and I had officially purchased the vehicle. After that, I didn’t hear from anybody and I kept calling and calling trying to find out when my vehicle was going to be shipped to me, but nobody seemed to have an answer. I probably spoke with seven different people. I even called and asked to speak to the GM, but he never called me back. At this point I was getting very upset because I had purchased this vehicle and it was not in my possession. I finally talked to my agent after about 2 weeks and he said that they were at the mercy of the shipping companies, but they canceled and that the agent was going to drive it to me. I wasn’t happy about this because I paid for shipping and now somebody else was going to put miles on my vehicle. When I received my vehicle immediately after driving it, the brakes were squealing really bad and making a grinding sound. I got it to my house and had to clean the entire car because I found food and money and broken utensils and napkins inside the vehicle. There was juice spills and sticky stuff on the seats . There was chips in my windshield that they never informed me about. I called back, wanting to speak to somebody about the condition of the vehicle. Not only was this whole experience probably one of the worst ones that I’ve had, getting in contact with with anybody who knew anything at the dealership seemed impossible, and then I received a dirty vehicle with brake issues and all he could tell me was that that was normal. Out of all the cars I’ve had in my life. The brakes have never sounded the way that these ones did, but he said it was common for a VW. So at this point, I’m just wanting my check reimbursed for shipping and I expressed to them how the vehicle was dirty and I was upset that they sold me a car with chips in the windshield and never even told me about it. So I am still waiting on the check. I spoke to Steve and he was supposed to get back to me about the windshield, but I have not heard back. I may not have been a customer in person, but I was a true customer as I actually purchased a car from that dealership I should’ve been taken care of better. I would never purchase from this dealership again. Buying a car should be exciting and it was miserable.

I accompanied my sister who was buying a certified pre owned car here. Ed fonseca, one of the finance managers accused her of making a “straw purchase” because I was advising her through the process and telling her she didnt need to buy the extended warranties they were offering. Ed apparently didnt like that and so he began making this accusation along with other condescending remarks like “i dont care whether you buy the car or not, i know whats going on here”. He then began arguing with us when i told him that making baseless accusations like this is absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. Who treats a customer like this simply because they turned down an upsell? Ed Fonseca does. We should have left at this point, and I wish we had because things only got worse.After driving the car home less than 30 MILES, it began making an extremely loud rattling noise underneath the car. I called Victor Tanori, the general manager the very next morning, less than 12 hours after my sister had purchased the car and he refused to take the car back. His only offer was that we could trade the car for another one but both of the 2 comparable Jettas on the lot had double the mileage at essentially the same price as the one purchased. Not much of a solution. I also told him about the horrible treatment and accusations that were made by his finance manager ED the night prior, and he defended him. Not hard to see why his employees act the way they do.I took the car to be inspected at a different Volkswagen dealership with under 50 miles on it since purchased to see what they could tell me about the loud rattling noise. They found that the engine was a quart of oil low, and they verified the loud noise under the car, citing the transmission starting to fail as the culprit. They told me this car should have never been sold, let alone sold as a certified preowned car. This car was clearly not inspected and knowingly sold with problems to an unsuspecting buyer, which unfortunately ended up being my sister.We filed a complaint with Volkswagen Corporate stating both that the car was sold as a certified car with major problems and about the unprofessional and outright unethical behavior at Larry H Miller Volkswagen. Again, Victor Tanori sided with ED on his unprofessionalism and also LIED to Volkswagen Customer Care stating that my sister was “satisfied” with his response regarding this issue.Well Victor, we clearly arent satisfied (who would be?) and yes, im saying “we” as i write this review because i was there when my sister purchased the car. (Reference to Victors sarcasm asking me why im saying “we” when my sister is the one that purchased the car, as I was telling him what happened with ED and the cars problems)You wouldnt like it if one of your family members was treated this way and then to add insult to injury, sold a supposedly certified car that in fact, had major mechanical problems. So what makes you think its okay to treat others this way Victor? This is extremely unethical and outright illegal.

We purchased a 2024 atlas about 3 months ago from this location. We came in for our first oil change which was included with the purchase of the new vehicle which is the only reason we came back to this location given they are a 45 minute drive from home.The man who greeted me to check me in was a windshield sales man who noticed the crack on my windshield that happened about a week prior to my visit and was about the side of a dollar bill. He offered to give me a price to replace it which I agreed to him looking into a quote while I waited. He took my keys and I went to sit down. About 10 minutes later he came over and quoted me over $800 to replace the windshield out of picked which I told him I was going to shop around because that was pretty high. While sitting there I had gotten a quote that was already $150 cheaper than what he quoted. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes they came over to tell me my vehicle was ready. I met the guy at my car and when I got in noticed my windshield crack went from the side of a dollar bill to almost all the way across the windshield. I went inside to tell Adam who was my service advisor and he turns to his cubicle window moves papers covering a sheet that says they don’t cover any further damages if a windshield is already cracked. They never asked me if I wanted a car wash or made me aware of this or I would have denied the wash with them. Also note I have taken my vehicle into cobblestone 2x for their $35 wash inside and out and never did the crack increase or cause any further damage. Crazy they started the visit off trying to sale me a $800 windshield and I left with a crack so big I was lucky I didn’t get pulled over on my way home for having. Adam told me he could get me a quote from his windshield team who was the guy who greeted me and I told him no thanks you guys are way to high and just made the issue 10x worse. Not informative, careless and reckless.You should make it very clear if a windshield is damaged that you take the car through your car wash without approval and could cause more damage not once was I asked about a wash or made aware of their waiver for windshield damage. Will never give these ppl my business again I would rather pay for an oil change then deal with these heavy sales ppl.
