I brought my car to this dealership for an oil consumption test, and overall, it was a frustrating experience. Here’s what happened:1. Poor Communication: The service advisers didn’t return my calls, even after I left multiple voice messages. It was hard to get updates unless I kept following up myself.2. Loaner Car Issues: I was told that I could schedule a loaner car a few days in advance. However, when I dropped my car off for the first test, they said it would only take 2-3 hours (it actually took the whole day), and no loaner was provided.3. Service Concerns: After the first test, my engine started shaking. I brought it back, and Daniel Martinez checked it out, saying the spark plug wires were in the wrong order. However, this didn’t solve the issue, and I had to return again after driving just a few miles. I ended up paying $200 for an ignition coil (part only and no labor) , but I later found OEM parts are much cheaper online—$90 on Hyundai’s website or $100 for a set of four on Amazon.4. Lack of Follow-up: For the second test, I called ahead for a loaner car, but they said it would only take a few hours and didn’t offer one. I dropped my car off at 8 AM and expected a call in a few hours, but I had to chase them down. After leaving two messages for Martinez, I finally reached someone else who said they were waiting for warranty approval, which could take days. When I asked if my car needed to stay there, they told me it didn’t, so I could pick it up.5. Inconsistent Timelines: When I finally got warranty approval for an engine replacement, I received a loaner car. This time, I expected it to take at least two days, but surprisingly, it was ready in 3.5 hours. I’m not sure why routine services like oil changes always take at least two hours when they can apparently do more complex work in less time. While they did replace the engine, I’m still concerned about the quality of the repair. I’ve already noticed the tachometer dropping suddenly a couple of times.
