Just baffled at the lack of common sense! So my wife went shopping for some supplies before the hurricane on Thursday. She usually does self checkout, but for whatever reason, she didn't this time. She got home, and we unloaded the groceries. As she was putting stuff away, she mentioned that there were some cans of soup missing. So we checked the car and there was nothing there. She tried calling the store, but unfortunately, she couldn't reach a human. So she headed back to the store. (We are talking about an hour total time from when she left the store to going back) So she goes in and asks the person that checked her out the first place, about the missing soup, He said, "Oh yeah, I remember you and told her to talk to another associate. (They had already put the cans of soup on a cart with other returns or left behind products to go back onto the shelves) They didn't even bother to hold them aside, call the phone number associated with the account or wait to see if the customer (my wife) would come back. They just assumed they would/could sell the product for a second time. With the cost of groceries currently, we don't need to be ripped off. They baggage and put everything (well, not everything) in the cart. They made the mistake. My wife made the mistake of shopping there in the first place. Customer service is the most important aspect of any business. Apparently, they are lacking that there. Yes, people make mistakes. But they just kept adding mistake on to mistake.
