I called and asked how soon I could get lisinopril refilled which I need following a heart attack. I called a week ago Wednesday and said I was down to my last 2 pills. They said it takes 2-4 days, so I agreed, assuming it would be there Friday or maybe Saturday, and worst case scenario would come Monday, which in that case I would have only missed Sunday and could take Monday's dose when it arrived on Mon. The weekend came and nothing. Monday came, and nothing. Tuesday. Nothing. Wednesday, nothing still, so I called at 5:15 PM and the pharmacy was closed, so I called a local Albertsons pharmacy and tried to have my prescription transferred. They called and were on hold for no exaggeration, 3 hours and could not get it transferred, so again, another day without life saving blood pressure reducing medicine following my heart attack. The Albertsons pharmacy said they would try again Thursday, and I thought for sure it would have to be in my mailbox then. Again...nothing. Today is Friday...a week and a half after I first called. Mind you, I could have EASILY gone in to pick this up at a local Kaiser pharmacy but thought why expose myself to sick people when i have 2 pills left and it will be here in 2-4 days. So Friday, I checked the mail and still nothing. So I was finally able to call Kaiser pharmacy before 5 PM because I took today off of work, and the pharmacist told me it shows that the order is on hold but he doesn't know why, and wanted to transfer me to the mail-order pharmacy. Instead I said, at this point, I've been without my medicine for nearly a week, I need to come in today to get some. So he called the mail order pharmacy to get the order cancelled and they told him my order was on hold because they didn't have a current credit card # for me. ARE YOU KIDDING? I don't even know where to begin. I told the person I needed this medicine, it was important, they told me to 2-4 days. 2nd, I was surprised when I ordered they didn't ask for credit card info, but they hung up before I could ask...and I figured I would just get billed next time I came in like I did in Kaiser Washington. Now I find out they didn't have a card, and they never even bothered to reach out to tell me they needed a credit card. And here I am like an idiot thinking they know its important life saving medicine and it'll just be one more day.
I cannot begin to explain how terrible Kaiser So. Cal is compared to Kaiser WA...its two totally different companies, a great one in the PNW, and a terrrrrrrrrrible one down in So. Cal and not just because of their lousy pharmacy. Honestly...terrible terrible and actually dangerous customer service. I could have gone in last week to pick it up...don't tell me you're sending it and then not even bother to reach out and tell me you aren't sending it or can't because you need money you didn't ask for initially. TERRRRRRIBBBBBLE
