I’ve shopped at kaelins a couple of times now, and unfortunately, my experience with the cashier—who is a male with long hair and glasses who was there last night has been consistently disappointing. This time, as with my previous visit, he seemed very bothered by any interaction, which made the experience uncomfortable.
During my last visit, he was tossing groceries so carelessly that one of my loaves of bread flew out of the bag. I asked him to remove the item since I no longer wanted it, and he seemed visibly offended, acting annoyed that I made the request. I was hoping it was a one-off situation, but unfortunately, it wasn’t.
On my most recent visit, we asked him a simple question regarding the hot food section, but he gave us a vague response and then rudely told my dad to hurry up and put the groceries in the cart. His attitude made it clear that he either doesn’t want to be in customer service or simply isn’t suited for this position.
It’s a shame because the store itself has a good selection and reasonable prices, but having a cashier with such poor customer service really detracts from the overall experience. I hope the management takes note and addresses this, as no one should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome while shopping.i did look for a manager yesterday but could not find one and left but made my observation known to one of the ladies in the front by the taco shop.
