I have the unique opportunity of having a view of this business not only as a customer (which I have been most recently), but as an employee as well, going back some 10 plus years ago. Back then, I was just a novice guitarist and sometimes vocalist (with some banging on the piano that we won't go into detail on for added flavor). I was welcomed to the staff and had the pleasure of truly learning the ins and outs of a number of musical instruments, and a greater appreciation for music as a whole. Fast forward these many years and many miles later, and I return from 10 years living in Florida, playing gigs beyond count, crowds up to 2k people, recording, writing, and performing almost non stop... And I was pleased to pop in one day to grab some strings, only to find Fletcher himself, still in his office, talking to me as if I had just left yesterday. Almost all of us from the staff those days have gone on to other paths in life, but I've learned, nothing can replace the feel of a small town, family owned business. What Mr Fletcher and Co bring to the table can't be bought at Guitar Center, on Wish or Amazon, and can't be found at Walmart. It's a sense of community, family, and people who genuinely love music and love sharing and teaching it to another person, regardless of age or skill set. You can't put a price on that. So while you may think you can get a better deal somewhere else, you'll get one thing there you can't get online: the sense of being part of a family, a community, and a continued tradition of a passion for music.
Thanks for everything guys. Keep rocking.
