It wasn’t too bad in the restaurant itself, but outside of the restaurant was suffocating. As for the food, it was great! My husband ordered the country fried steak with fries. It came with vegetables, garlic bread, and a salad. He received mashed potatoes instead, but we didn’t say anything. I ordered the $24 steak with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a salad with a side of Greek rice. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Greek rice. I asked for white because it was shown on the menu, but they said they only had Greek. We loved the rest of our dinners though. The gravy for his meal was astonishing, the potatoes were full of flavor, and the salad was very fresh. For dessert, we got the red velvet cake and the strawberry ring. The strawberry ring was fresh, the cream was sweet but not overpowering, and the pastry was a bit crispy which provided a nice contrast to the soft texture of the strawberries and cream. The red velvet could’ve used some more work. It had a dull flavor, was hard but not dried out or old (more like it needed moisture) and lacked pizazz. The upside is that it was a generous slice, but it’s unfortunate it couldn’t be enjoyed to the fullest. As for the servers, they were attentive, quick, friendly, and made the experience worth it. The music and atmosphere inside the dining area was pleasant as well. If you have younger children in diapers, don’t bring them here. It’s not a kid-friendly place. There’s no changing pad in the bathrooms and the smoke smell is too much. It’d be bad for them to inhale. Overall, I rate this place 3 stars because of the smoke smell and lack of appropriate gear for children, but the food/restaurant/staff was excellent.
