In attempts to see a number of attractions in one day, I made it to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center 45min before closing. According to the website, due to current construction some regular programs were postponed until spring. Therefore I did not expect more than the current exhibits and to visit the gift shop and Pueblo Kitchen. The exhibits were details enough and offered a lot of visuals. I can appreciate seeing original artifacts on display like any other museum but unique to the Pueblo culture. I loved being able to read the displayed recipes and family tree with translated language for familial titles (mom, sister etc.). I failed to eat during my day of exploration so I couldn’t wait until I went through all the exhibits and walked to the The Pueblo kitchen (you do not need to finish the exhibits to do so but it was my choice). I ordered an Indian taco (with red sauce on the side, thankfully it did not taste hot at all lol) and NM’s Zia soda brand, Sandía flavor. I’m sure it wasn’t solely because I was hungry but try meal was delicious, flavorful and filling. I actually took it go and ate in Old Town.
