I wanted to be able to post a great review, instead, here I am. I "purchased" a CR-V on December 21, 2024. My first payment was due on February 4, 2025. I had not received a payment book or statement, so I called the dealership to find out what was up. While waiting for the finance department to call back, I call the finance company on my contract. They said I had no account with them. While waiting for my callback, I get a notification from Experian and Credit Wise that the finance company ran a credit inquiry. About 30 minutes later, I get a call from a finance manager at Honda of Kingsport. Not only did she act like she was calling out of the blue, like I hadn't just called them twice, but she just very nonchalantly says I do not own the vehicle I have been driving for like 45 days. She says that financing was not approved and I need to return the vehicle. I then asked her when they submitted the financing documents to the lender. She "couldn't" tell me and would call the lender and call me back with that info. She, indeed, did not call back. She was so cold and casual while I was trying to ask questions , I could tell she really didn't care.
Honda of Kingsport screwed me over. My theory: they didn't do their job when they were supposed to, tried to hurry and submit the documents when I called yesterday, was not successful, and therefore called to take back the only vehicle I have. I am contacting a lawyer today.
