We were here for the Nocturnal Wonderland Wildfire Benefit. Security is terrible with stupid and unclear rules that don't keep people safe and only serve to pretend that they have good security. The first time i tried to go through security, they sent me back because of my hand sanitizer, without mentioning that I could check by bag in. The second time, i switched to a smaller plushie bag to bring less items in (ID and phone only), and they also did not let in, to only then tell me that i could check in the bag. I had to check in an empty plushie bag for $5. I have seen people get through security with things that were not allowed. They confiscated packs of gum, nasal sticks, and mexico flags, but let people in with pony head sticks(which could be used as weapons or accidentally hit people with) as totems. I have even seen other plushie bags in the venue when they made me check mine in. They made people throw away their Mexico flags, but there were people in the venue who had brought in their flags. Security was slow to check people, and even checked the lining of hats as if people were going to bring weapons like that. There were already plenty of drugs in the venue, and people are going to sneak it in regardless of what they do. They allowed people in with cigarettes and lighters, but made people throw away their carts (but let you keep your battery). The bar does not know how to cut people off as there were plenty of people throwing up in the restroom and had to be escorted out. If they had seemed drunk before they entered(by pregaming), security shouldn’t have let them in. There's nothing wrong with pregaming. I'm just trying to describe how inconsistent their security was by picking and choosing what and who they allowed in.There were no water fountains or places to refill water bottles. The water they sold was Liquid Death in a Styrofoam cup, and they didn't even give you the can. They just gave you the cup with a shit ton of ice in it for $6. And insomniacs ground control only gave out free water bottles sparingly. Most people didn't even know you could go to the first aid tent or ground control for free water. People were super rude, pushing through the crowd, and bumping into you without saying sorry, and getting mad if you were blocking their camera when all they're trying to do is just record the entire set instead of dancing and having fun.The exits were not clearly labeled. They were funneling people through 2 exits based on where you were on the dance floor. They did not say that people who checked in their bags had to leave through the west exit, and I had to go around the blocked off parking lot and be interrogated by security before they let me back in to grab my checked in bag.I 0/10 would not come back to this venue. Absolute mess.
