My experience at the Holiday Market deli section today was incredibly disappointing, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of an employee named Alisha. (I’m not sure if that’s how her name is spelt I just asked a manger for it as I walked out) Although I don’t know what transpired before I arrived, it was clear she took whatever frustration she was feeling out on me. From the moment I approached the counter, she was rude and dismissive, offering no semblance of the friendly customer service I’ve come to expect. Her and another females attitude made the entire interaction uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Regardless of what happened earlier in the day, there’s no excuse for treating customers poorly. I ended up canceling my preorder and leaving the store without making a purchase because of this interaction. I was also disappointed to witness the same, if not worse, attitude from another employee behind the counter. The male employee seemed completely disengaged, almost as if he didn’t want to be there at all. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to work in such a toxic environment, and I actually feel sorry for him. Given this experience, I do not foresee myself or family returning to this Holiday Market location which is very unfortunate as it was one of my more or so favorites and families due the commute distance and used to have a more friendly atmosphere but if these are the types of employees they are hiring i do not see us returning. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue, as it left a very negative impression.
