First, Dino is clearly skilled and takes his time to ensure his work is precise. The shop has a welcoming vibe, and I appreciated the effort he put into styling my hair at the end. However, my visit fell a bit short of expectations due to some miscommunication about the haircut I wanted.
As a new client, I requested a low taper with a slight trim on top, but Dino ended up taking off more length than I’d planned. While the result was well-executed, it wasn’t aligned with what I had in mind, especially since I’d been growing out the top for months. I recommend being very specific about your preferences and confirming them before the cut begins. Dino didn’t ask many clarifying questions, which might have avoided the misstep.
Additionally, as a walk-in, I was told the wait would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up being closer to an hour. While I understand that walk-ins can be unpredictable, a more accurate estimate would have helped me manage my time better.
Overall, Dino seems like a talented barber, and with clearer communication and slightly better time management, I believe the experience could have been excellent. If you’re planning to visit, just make sure to over-communicate your preferences to ensure you leave with the look you want.
