This is a scenic campground amongst Redwoods. I have it a 4 because it’s built on the side of a mountain with steep roads that are not well maintained and most of the campsites are tight parking and/or not level.

We loved this campground. It’s a beautiful area. The owners kept it so nice and ran it very well. The restrooms/showers were clean and spacious. It’s like a diamond in the rough, very safe with a gated entrance. We went to Rocky Gap each day and did the...Read More

The park staff and rangers were friendly and helpful. Appreciated that we saw the Rangers regularly patrolling the campsites, especially since the campground was full all weekend - the Rangers kept everything and everyone safe. Campsites and facilities are well maintained but watch the road...Read More

We loved our campsite. We stayed at site #092H. We loved this campground and will keep it in mind for future trips! Access: We drove a Honda Civic on this trip, and some of the roads in this campground have some intense road damage that caused...Read More

One of our favorite camp sites… why? 1. It’s close to the beach but not on it so you have the best of both worlds. …

Loved the campground! I'd stay here again and I camp a lot. The trees are absolutely worth it; love the Redwoods! The bathrooms and showers are old and small but doable.

Our family trip to California’s Redwood Forest was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The forest was absolutely stunning — so peaceful and full of fresh air. Redwood forests are known to be rich in oxygen because of the incredible photosynthesis process these giant...Read More

Our campsite was in a hidden little hole, which was nice for privacy and hard for setup/takedown. One less star only because this is mixed forest rather than other higher redwood concentration areas. Still lovely.

It is a great campground in the middle of the redwoods for the "roughing it" experience. The road to some of the camp sites becomes a bit treacherous for smaller cars, but if you drive slowly, it isn't a problem. There's showers and bathrooms close...Read More

Gorgeous campground right next to Avenue of the Giants. Our site 5 was RIGHT NEXT to the Avenue and truckers seem to know we're there and use loud engine noises even tho its an extremely flat and straight area. Typical locals. So...Read More

We had so much fun at the Hidden Springs Campground. Flushable toilets, quarter operated showers, it was a clean and well cared for campground. We felt like it was a great location for exploring the Redwoods.

Everything was fine save for the utter refusal to help us from any staff. There was a campsite not too far from ours who had two dogs chained to trees that would not stop whining. We asked the folks at the kiosk every day for...Read More

It's an OK campground but don't expect to pull up and unload everything at the car. Many sites require you to climb small hills or stairs from your car to the camp site.

This is a beautiful campground. Not all campsites are flat so check the maps before you book. There is a nice hike just opposite the campsite that leads to river. Restrooms were cleaned everyday morning.
