When we were growing up in L.A., I remember when the milkman delivered the milk, butter, & cream, the neighbors and the mailman was still white and Tapatio store was Better Foods Market, and I miss those days. We also remember the Hane's Hardware Store around the corner on Florence, then the Grandfather of the family owned & operated the store and was so good and kind to everyone; all people, and I will say this...this Hane's Hardware Store was the only business that stayed when all the other companies started moving out in the 1970's. But Hane's Stayed...and we all remember to this day who grew up on 73rd Street & San Pedro and the area.
