I will never purchase from Haldeman Ford ever again. Purchased my first F-150 2 years ago and it was supposed to be an overjoyed experience for me (growing up my father who's passed now had a F150 Lariat and I wanted to purchase my own in remembance of him), it was the worst experience purchasing a vehicle. I used to sell cars 20 years back after college so I'm familiar with the steps throughout the buying process. Came into the showroom to build a Lariat, but the salesperson showed me a F150 Tremor and took it for a test drive. I fell in love with it and the salesperson priced it out with Ford's special financing. I knew how much I would be paying monthly, but I was still hesitant as it was not the color, nor did it have the extra storage feature under the backseats. I've decided to build a truck with all the features I wanted. I was informed the special financing (2.9%) from that month would be honored at delivery. I've left feeling excited and eagerly waited for my vehicle to go through the build process. Now you would think my purchase should have been extremely easy as I built it right? A month goes by and I didn't hear anything from Ford.com so I called and asked the internet manager at Haldeman on status. He said since I was asking for a cover and spray-in bed the build was taking longer than expected, we removed these features from the build so we can speed up the process. He asked if I wanted to add the 360 co pilot plus. I refused adding this feature as I was already getting the 360 co pilot included, didn't need the plus package for 2k more. Another month goes by and still nothing from Ford on progression. I call Ford directly and they have not received anything regarding my build. I called the dealership again and find out they never submitted the build request! After the build was submitted I was FINALLY receiving updates from Ford's website. With my excitement I'd check on a regular basis. Once the truck was ready for the line and the monroney label was created I noticed the co pilot plus was included with the build. I frantically call the internet manager to inform him they accidentally added this feature I did not want. He apologized and said he would take 2k off as I had "physical print outs" saved of the features I wanted and it was his mistake for adding it in. No harm no foul. It took over 8 months for the truck to be built and arrive. So far this experience was already rubbing me the wrong way, but I was keeping a positive attitude. Only when I set up the appointment to take delivery is when all the shenanigans started. Entering the showroom I spot my salesperson blowing his nose and wiping his face then comes up to shake my hand, I politely declined(mind you this was right after the pandemic). I should have taken the hint by this interaction it was going to be a rough day. We check out the truck, it was absolutely perfect! Love it and now ready to take it home. We go in to do the pricing and I noticed they included the co pilot plus price into the mix. I informed him the internet manager was taking this off. Of course the internet manager was off that week so they had to call him to confirm. Luckily I saved my emails of this conversation so it was not an issue. The big issue was the special financing of 2.9%. They informed me Tremors don't qualify for special financing which made me confused as to why did I build a Tremor in the first place? As well, why did they price out the Tremor on the lot at special financing 8 months back? I did get a good rate, but it would come out to me paying $11k more throughout the term. Obviously I was livid and the salesperson had the audacity to say "you don't have to take delivery of this vehicle and can put you in another truck." Absolutely not! That's exactly what they wanted as MY truck was now priced 10k more than sticker with the current shortage. This put me over the edge and I cursed out my salesperson. I took delivery, but never went back to Haldeman again. Also, got special rates from a credit union so it worked out in the end. F*** Haldeman!!!!
