pre purchase: the pre-purchase experience with them, particularly Artur, was extremely pleasant. i bought an old bmw, having kept a keen eye on the market for that car and similar cars for some time so i went into the experience with common issues, pricing, and specs all in mind. Artur was quick to answer when i called (from states away) and he answered my questions to what seemed like the best of his abilities. i expressed concern with buying such an old import without driving it first, and he assured me that the vehicle was 100% mechanically sound. Artur assured me that the vehicle had no issues and had been serviced by his company’s mechanic. he showed me carfax and it looked good. i paid a deposit online, having to send it to Artur’s personal account due to difficulties with their business account’s zelle. he sent me the paperwork and i sent him my cashier’s check. i paid for transport and received the car in a timely manner.
post purchase: i received the vehicle off the truck and it looked as perfect as it did in the photos, but there were tons of electrical issues from the start. the car had to be jumped off the transport truck because it was having a parasitic drain due to an electrical failure, the nature of which was unknown to me at the time. for convenience’s sake, i will list the issues i’ve found since taking delivery of the car:
windows not working
driver’s seat not working (i am tall and this is very frustrating)
!!!disabled check engine light!! - light doesn’t even come on when the car starts up and all the dash lights come on for a second
sunroof not working and LEAKING
wiper blades not working
instrument cluster (speedometer, fuel gauge, odo, temp gauge) not working
misfire
missing fuse boxes
one tire that was plugged poorly - blew the next day - spare tire had a slow leak
AWFUL transmission slippage
wheel speed sensor failure/no cruise control or traction control
no interior lights work
failed trunk latch actuator - expensive fix
ac works, but blower motor is failed - only blows when car is moving over 50 mph
poor suspension - lots of noise and very uncomfortable ride - they didn’t touch anything on the underside of the car before resale
the electronics are fried to the point of the vehicle constantly clicking and ticking when turned off. the parasitic drain will kill the batteries overnight or during the day. Artur’s demeanor post sale was world’s different after i revealed the issues it was having in my first few days of ownership. he stopped answering my calls, so i had to make several textnow numbers to reach them. they would let my number go to voicemail and then immediately answer the fake number i’d just generated. this vehicle needs thousands in repairs just to survive a night with enough voltage to charge. i was refunded $900 to replace a singular electrical component that fixed the window and wiper failure, but the vehicle remains an electrical nightmare. i manage due to my own ability to diagnose and repair, but i still feel like i could have avoided the entire headache had Artur just been honest when i told him how badly i wanted to avoid buying a car with a ton of issues while asking him if this car had a ton of issues. in the start of a record-high summer, Artur lied to me and sold me a vehicle that had no working windows or sunroof and an ac that didn’t blow unless the car is moving. he took advantage of the fact that i wanted his vehicle but could not see/drive it before sending him a check for 5-digits. the car was priced on-par with 8/10 examples but is a 4/10 car. the vehicle is technically undrivable, having no ability to see how fast i’m going or how much gas i have. i am thousands in the hole and facing thousands in repairs; Artur sold me a TOTALED car. upon further inspection of vehicle history, they bought the car from a salvage yard and i don’t see anything that they fixed before sale except the paint. i have not been able to get them back on the phone and frankly, i have no interest in speaking with them - i’ll let my lawyer do the rest of the talking.
