However, I will call first to find out if they're open. Hope they've survived Covid...I'm writing this one month later, after reading the owners' sensible response to my original post. As I was doing that, when I read the reason why they were closed, I had to agree with them: death in the family, sorry, they absolutely had to close. Same with their suggestion that I call ahead: should have done that.So, my apologies for reacting too quickly and too harshly. There's more important things in life than being frustrated for a long drive and not being able to sink your teeth in a bratwurst, no matter how amazing.Now, I haven't been able to go back yet, but I will definitely do so: the place seems amazing. And the owners deserve that I apologize to them face to face. And believe me: it's not the free desert that did it... But I'll sure take it! ;-)
