He started removing parts one by one, testing the sound and seeing what it was like. Unfortunately, the better the idle sound was, the worse the 2k rpm drone was. It was mind-numbing, and we both agreed it was just too much.
I watched as he tried all sorts of mufflers and resonators to stop the drone, cutting and welding custom piping for each and every part he tried. We went wayyyy over the estimated time, but he didn't complain once. In fact, he even apologized for how long it was taking.
In the end, we couldn't get it. But the reason I'm giving five stars is that it wasn't any failure or lack of effort on his part. It was those darn Honda engineers making sure everything works just as it was supposed to. :P
Anyway, he put in a ton of effort, and was polite the whole time. He deserves every five star review he gets. If your car has the potential to roar like a beast, he will make it happen, no doubt.
P.S. If you have a 98-00 accord V6, don't bother messing with the exhaust. They don't like it, lol
