Went to grand opening in the afternoon. Store was pretty crowded. Seems like there is ample parking and even though the store was crowded, it was easy to take your cart up and down the aisles. Produce section was good, had everything I might need. Meat and seafood counters looked great. Salad bar was crowded, so didn't get a look. Good wine selection, nice floral department, smallish pharmacy area. They had quite a few prepared items to take home and cook. Also, pizza by the slice and warm food items to go or eat there. Everything you might need for regular grocery items are probably available. Not a very big greeting card selection, but good enough. Overall a good experience. Will probably become my go to grocery store.

The Depot at Food City is great! Everyday Happy Hour 4pm-7pm!
The Depot is a bar inside the grocery store near the Broad St side, selling beer and wine with a weekly rotating drink menu, TVs for sports or events, tables inside and outside on the really cool patio (patio also has TVs).
This is a great spot to hang and watch your favorite game during happy hour!

3. Our school store for positive behavior rewards.
The store itself is brand new, clean, and beautiful. The workers are all friendly and helpful. And I have one coworker who goes almost daily to the hot food section for lunch who loves that, too!

Always exceptionally clean and well stocked. Many very kind staff members as well. In particular I wanted to say thank you to a staff member—Jay—that I crossed paths with today. She was so friendly when checking me out. On top of that she noticed as I was leaving the store that I was checking my cart. She came up to me to ask if everything was okay—and even helped look me look through my grocery bags for an item I thought I had missed.
Simply a kind human being—and thankful for her today.

It is great to see a location downtown for people to get groceries that was sorely missing for some time. The deli had a lot of options available with a local seating area that included the ability to buy alcohol including wine and beer. Obviously being a new location it was very clean and well organized. Employees seemed to be in good spirits and helpful. Parking was plentiful and well marked as to be expected for a new location.

One of my favorite food city’s in all of Chattanooga! AMAZING concept! I have one other city that’s closer to me but I skip that one just to visit this location in particular. Parking lot is very well lit during night time. Makes me feel more safe. Love this location!

I waited to give a review until the new wore off. It's still stocked, clean and always has an open register. The lines have never been more than 3 people long. If you're looking for the cheapest prices, it doesn't beat Walmart. But if you want to save 30 minutes at the checkout, I find the extra $5 well worth it. And there's food and seating inside that are cheaper than the Subway option.
