Husband and I came in to find some new shoes and was greeted well. Found out my husband had been wearing the wrong sized shoe from the analysis process one could go through!! He’s been pleased with the recommended shoe and has found the same brand at half the price at other stores.
I did my own research before coming in and was set on finding different colors of On Cloudmonster (1) shoes. They didn’t have any ones in stock at the time, no issue there.
About a year later, after we’ve continued to buy their insoles, I asked if the had any Cloudmonsters in stock now, and the young man proceeded to tell me why he stopped ordering them (customer feedback), told me that if I wanted them they could order but only in 4 colors (which I already had) and that they were a terrible company: over committing inventory and failed to deliver on promised delivery dates. He was pretty convinced that they, “like Nike, are terrible at inventory and delivery so good luck trying to get what I wanted online.”
When I tried to show him the new colors that came out after he said that he could order any one I wanted and have them shipped there. Then he typed in tablet and proceeded to say that they were not available even though the website said they were. That was so odd to me because why would a company be dishonest about DTC products, especially when they just sent me an email about “checking out our new colors.” The whole thing seemed wacky, but he was VERY adamant about how the company works and not to trust them.
Well, I went home home and ordered the shoes I wanted (the new color that didn’t come up on his tablet of a available products he could order for me) directly on On’s website and even on a holiday weekend, they arrived in 5 days (pics attached.) 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Long story short (lol) kind people, but don’t have the full knowledge they posture. Probably a better store for those less knowledgeable about running/walking who will believe anything said out the mouth of a very confident salesperson.
