My fiance and I went to look at a 2006 Subaru outback I called and was assured that everything in the ad was correct. When we showed up my boyfriend, went and unlocked the car with the keys that the dealership provided and he asked me to turn the car on and once I did the front engine bay started smoking. He looked underneath, and it looked as if there was oil dripping the dealer assured him that it was residue from topping off oil, which wouldn’t be the case since they drove the car down the street for pictures and if it was residue it would’ve burned off fairly quickly and wouldn’t have kept smoking more and more the longer we let the car run, but as he put his hands under the car, it literally filled his hands with oil. He continued to try and tell us that it was residue and nothing more, but how when his hands were full of oil? They completely lied to us I’m assuming because we looked young and assumed they could pull a fast one. My fiance knows what he’s looking at he’s a very mechanically inclined man and this was no residue there was definitely an oil leak somewhere.
