I called to ask for a recommendation on which haircutter(s) would be more detail-oriented and careful explaining that I didn't have the best result in the past. The woman who answered said she would not do that and that I might want to find another place to get my hair done. I called back to ask her name and she identified herself as Holly, the owner. I'll be taking my business elsewhere as she suggested.
The owner has been closeminded and dismissive both in her phone call with me and her comment to my post, thus providing poor customer service. My experiences were as follows. 1) a hair color different than what I asked for; I asked for blonde but not too light. After the color was applied I said it looked dark and asked the stylist what color it was thinking perhaps it was the lighting in the shop; she said light brown. I went to another place to fix it and it looked much better. 2) I went in for a haircut with a different stylist, had an appt and the haircutter was busy with another customer; she took me 15 minutes late, no apologies, no "hello", greeting or friendliness of any kind. I asked for a simple cut, rounded in the back and angled on the sides. It didn't look like that was done, but when I asked her about it she confirmed she had done what I asked. I did my best to fix it myself when I got home. That is why I asked for a recommendation on which haircutter(s) would be more detail-oriented and careful. If the owner had not been dismissive and impolite, I would not have felt the need to add to the other one-star reviews from people who had similar experiences to mine. To say that all her stylists are phenomenal is clearly untrue. The owner even acknowledges instances of poor service provided in her response to other one-star reviews.
