When I initially bought my first classic car, I took it to them to restore because they were local, good guys, seemed to specialize in classics, and had pretty reasonable prices. Over the course of about a year, very little progress was made other than very basic things. In hindsight, I should have known that they had trouble with harder jobs when the small stuff would be fixed within days, but would take weeks or months to make any progress on more complex tasks like a rear end or suspension. Ultimately, I switched shops. I ended up spending tens of thousands of dollars to fix innumerable things, from basic to more complex, that had been done incorrectly. Front suspension installed upside down, rear end installing in the wrong place, pieces missing, poor quality craftsmanship with metalwork that needed to be re-done, just to name a few. Don’t get me wrong, these are great guys and will do the best they can, but I would be hesitant to trust with them with anything other than basic mechanical fixes after my experience.
