I have been searching for a GOOD barber who knows what he's doing and more importantly does what I want and not what he wants. I do not like "high and tight" on the sides but no matter what I ask for this seems to be what I get. Every time I find a good barber they seem to quit, retire, or move. My search brought me to Thee Barber Shop today based on other reviews.
I walk in and ask if he does appointments or walk-ins. He, John, told me he doesn't do appointments - that was a HUGE plus in my book. To me that's the sign of a good "old school" barber, not a beautician (inside joke from an old barber I had long ago but very fitting).
Once the gentleman ahead of me was done it was my turn. John listened to what I desired and off he went. He nailed it the first time, then trimmed some wild hairs in places they didn't need to be (had a couple of wild hairs in my eyebrows). When I walked out the door I had exactly what I wanted at a very good price.
The real sign of a satisfied customer is one who would be a repeat customer. Well, John has gained a new customer, and while I don't get haircuts that often, every 2 months or so, I will definitely be going back.
