Well, they just closed and I circled back to catch them before they left the store. Good …Sales floor lights still on, I key tapped, to catch anyone…nothing. They were in the office so I decide to wait a few more minutes by my car. I turned my back for a second and hear the door unlock and open.
I sprint over with a slight shout, hold on please?! The leader is still locking the door and I explained she packaged my food with cleaning supplies and one leaked leaving all several boxed items soaked.
She looked back as if it was my doing wrong for the food not edible. I said I don’t live in the area please quickly could I swap the damaged product. Again she walked away we are closed. But but … It take 30 seconds. She said the alarm is set sorry.
Well that’s a lie. I put 20 plus years closing big box high end retail stores. There was no alarm counting down 60 seconds to exit and if there were she easily could have put here code to stop and then reset the exit alarm.
I’m so tired of lazy untrained zero CSS individuals in leadership positions working the sectors. People are just disengaged for the disruptions that their actions of caused someone else.
And I get it, totally! I comprehend I’m critiquing, Dollar Tree not Saks off Fifth but it shouldn’t matter.
