Today I went into Dollar General as I normally do for a few items that I needed. I am a long time local in Grand County and have made great relationships with almost every single employee at dollar general. Today I had to experience Probably the worst customer service, unprofessionalism, and extremely aggressive "manager" at the store by the name "Larissa". This extremely rude individual started my visit by walking away from the counter as I started to walk up to the cash register to check out. As I patiently waited at the counter for her she then said I'll be with you in a minute.. (those lines should of been said at the beginning). Anyways okay! She proceeds then to come over and aggressively starts scanning my items and hestient to even ask her at this point I kindly asked if I could have a bag!
(Lesson learned!! Don't ask for a bag) 😂
She rolls her eyes, takes off from the counter, comes back from the back room with a very large brown box and proceeds to slam the entire box on the ground!!!!! What!!??
At this point I'm being treated very disrespectfully, poorly, and just extremely unprofessional.. I said "you know, don't worry about it! I don't need a bag" she then makes a scene involving other customers and said you made me go get this entire box and bring it out here so now your going to take the bag that I already charged you for... (Dooley noted, they charge you for paper brown bags but don't tell you tell after the payment goes through! I believe that's going against a few laws but hey at this point she doesn't seem to care much for her job!)
I grabbed my paid for items and walked out.. just blown away by the entire experience really! Unfortunately she was the only worker available so I was not able to talk to anyone else.
Management classes and experience goes along way and being a kind human being goes even further. I've never seen this lady in my life and she claims to be the manager. This lady did not just treat me poorly but she also caused a scene in front of other customers as well over a bag. If she gets that angry over a bag then please find some anger management classes as well!
Word of mouth goes further then social media in a small town! Be nice 🙂

Went to DG today. Paid with a card and was told there was insufficient funds which I knew was wrong. I had checked my balance before leaving to go to DG . So paid with a different card and had to put merchandise back due to not enough money on that certain card. I came home after feeling embarrassed and rechecked my balance. I had more than enough money on this card to cover purchase and not only being told I had insufficient funds, being embarrassed then they over charged me for two items!
I’ve been trying to call them for over an hour and the phone keeps ringing. No answering machine or anyone of the four girls working at the time answered the phone.
Needless to say I’m now furious. They embarrassed me and overcharged me. The price tag said one price and st register it rang up $3.00 more for two items! Now won’t answer phone. I understand they may be busy but at least have an answering machine!
