The Dollar general on court St, is under new management, since this has taken place customer service has increased, the emoyees know me by name and even know what I need when I go in, I think.this was a smart move on Dollar general to start fresh! I am there almost everyday, and always feel welcomed. Once in a while there is a long line, but not nearly as bad as prior when it was an actual 15 minute wait in line, it's more under control now!
*UPDATED* well I had to revise my review, after a very short time, they replaced ALL the emoyees again! The new manager lasted about a month, they are not treated well by the company is the word. It's really sad because it seems that when you notice a good employee, they usually end up leaving within a short period of time. I now notice the only type of employees they are able to keep at this location at least are very passive people. No enthusiasm or customer service skills. Most of them Mumble. It's like a store of "emo" people. So it's back to the short handed long waits at the check out Lane, literally can be up to 10 minutes, that's a long time to stand in line when you're just trying to go in and out. Dollar General, please get your stuff together, treat your employees good if you want to keep them staff the store appropriately! You need more than 1 employee working at a time but just when your weekly truck comes in. (Even then none of those truck people end up helping out the line).
