Do not come to this gas station. Came here at 7 AM and was in a commercial vehicle trying to fill the tank. Handed the attendant my credit card. While the tank was being filled, I got a fraud alert from my bank account saying that the same card was attempted to be used for an almost $700 Zara purchase. When confronted about it, the attendant denied any involvement. I have never had a fraud attempt on this card before.
What's worse is it likely isn't even the owner's fault, however I cannot return to an establishment with untrustworthy employees.
Update: the business owner alleges that I arrived 5 minutes AFTER the posted fraud notification (which would place me arriving at the gas station at 7:08 AM). However, the screenshot for the card I ended up using to pay for the refill shows I was charged at 7:07 AM, meaning that the time on the camera system is off. Additionally, the employee was talking on their cellphone during the entire transaction via wireless headphones. Lastly, the card was rejected because I informed my bank that the Zara transaction was fraudulent, at which point they closed the card, as the attached screenshot indicates. This all happened in real time while I was sitting in the vehicle waiting to get my card back from the attendant.
I am aware this is a serious accusation. I would not have reported this otherwise, but that was my experience.
