We bought our brand new 2024 F150 Dec 23 2024, for the most part we got a good deal nobody ever wins at a stealership. The truck came new with aftermarket wheels and bigger tires than stock(upfitted is what they call it) put on at the dealership. The sale went fine and we got out of the finance office around closing time. We drove 2.5 hours to buy the truck and low and behold we made it 5 miles away from the dealership and all the tire sensors went blank and said a fault on the dash. I then noticed that my speed did not match my gps which doesn’t have anything to do with tire sensors so 2 separate problems. The dealership was closed for the night and the next couple of days were holidays. I called my salesman to let him know the issues with truck and that I wasn’t too happy about it especially not calibrating the speedometer and not disclosing the fact that I was going faster than it said on the dash after Dewey Ford installed the tires and wheels at the dealership and for the FACT they didn’t disclose that it was not the correct speed in the FIRST place! I said that I would take it to my nearest Ford dealer which is still 1 hour one way away and low and behold they told me they can’t calibrate the speedometer because it would void the warranty and tpms for the tires wouldn’t even register on their machine. I called the salesman yet again and told him the situation, he told me they should be able to calibrate the speedometer and said it would not void the warranty and if I brought it to back to Dewey Ford the 2.5 hours one way they could get the tpms and recalibrate the speedometer and it WOULD NOT void the warranty! So made the appointment drove all the way up to Dewey sat in the waiting room for 3.5 hours for them to tell me they got the tpms fixed but they couldn’t calibrate the speedometer because it WOULD void the warranty from Ford when the service manager and my salesman said bring it to us and we can calibrate it and it WONT void the warranty. I left the dealership and was still frustrated about the situation, after I got home I called the dealership and told them that they need to make this right with the calibration. The next day a service manager called back said that they are working on a solution but as of right now it still is not fixed. So buyers be aware if the vehicle you are looking at is upfitted with bigger tires the speedometer needs to be calibrated and they should DISCLOSE it if not calibrated. Also do not reply to this message with contact our dealership so we can resolve the issue with your vehicle because I’m waiting on your phone call to resolve the problem with my vehicle!!!!
