The pharmacist today Ivan was so incredibly kind and helpful. He went above and beyond when it was extremely busy and helped us into their lunch break. I think he usually works at the 199th st CVS. Thank you so much Ivan!

I had to yell at her from the top of my lungs. I asked for her DM name and she refused to give it to me! She needs to be fired! Where did you find such a person?! The staff here is terrible! They all need to be fired! I was yelling because she was not listening to me at all! This is not customer service! Send her back where she came from!

I will NEVER go to this CVS location again. Not because of CVS, but because of the idiotic high parking and parking ticket prices. CVS has parking signs for CVS spots, that sort of insinuates that you can park for free if going into CVS. I went in quickly to buy something and 15 minutes later I am out greeted by an outrageous $36 parking ticket. Shame on Surfside (and most of Miami quite frankly) for the outrageous parking rates and parking tickets. And CVS, you need to put a sign under your CVS parking sign that says you still have to pay the meter.

The store was absolutely filthy and the 2 people working there were rude. They closed the registers while there was a line and told everyone to go over to self service. The restroom was disgusting , no soap, toilet paper or paper towels.

This is my local pharmacy FOR 15+ years. Its been twice i sent family members to the Pharmacy, and Pharmacist supervisor Lara isn't helping customers smoothly, her treatment to customers is questionable, even with the good customer service training CVS gave to employees. Making you wait more than usual with no long lines at all. Once, as i am on the phone, Manager Ian helped while he laughs at the phone with employees on the side. Customer service is poor, the only employee that stands out there is Rossana. She pays attention and cares about customers. They should learn from her. If you go look for her for any help. Very disappointing customer service from managers at this CVS from SURFSIDE. District manages should know about this.

I never write reviews but I’m quite upset. CVS has a terrible customer service policy for their photos. I ordered photos for my students on their last day of school. Half of the photos came in blurry and others had lines in them. I needed some of the photos to give as gifts.
I wanted a refund for the ones that were damaged. The store told me that I have to return all of them in order to get a refund. They cannot give me a partial refund for the damaged photos. I wanted to keep the ones that were NOT damaged to give my students as gifts.
Since I am keeping some of the photos, the store nor the corporate wanted to rectify their mistake. They refused to give me partial refund and would only give me a refund if I return all of them. They could have easily issued a gift card or a partial refund.
It is an awful customer service policy. I will not be purchasing photos from CVS again.

This pharmacy has the WORST and I mean absolutely WORST customer service I have EVER had the displeasure of working with. I called to ask if my prescription could be transferred back to my home state and the lady continuously cut me off and insisted she knew what I was about to ask (she did not) kept tell me about the prescription there which I could no longer get because I’m back home in Texas. I tried to explain my situation and she kept getting snappy with me for asking questions (as in what do I need to do to get the prescription transferred) then insisted “she already told me that” when she in fact didn’t (hence why I asked the question in the first place) I told her that I would like to speak with someone else because she was being extremely rude for no reason and she hung up on me, literally hung up on me in the middle of trying to get my prescription situated. So not only was I getting an attitude from someone who’s JOB there is to help people, my problem wasn’t even resolved. I wish I got her work ID information so I could file an official complaint with CVS. People like this should not work in customer service.

I don’t think the manager here knows what a self check out is for. If there isn’t someone to watch you while you do your SELF check out then the lanes are closed, defeats the purpose.

You can park out front as you head south on Harding
Or you can use my locals tip and park behind the store where there is a large free parking lot and a dedicated entrance into the store. I would not park in this lot and try and walk across the street to the Bal Harbor Mall your car will be towed. Believe me they are watching. “The Parking Lot” thats the one reason why this store has no lines at the check out. You can park shop and checkout in less then five minutes.

MOST UNETHICAL PHARMACIST I have ever encountered. Pharmacist thinks she’s a doctor and has a say in what prescriptions I take and when. I’ve been a customer at this CVS for about a year. The pharmacist recently lied to me and told me she wouldn’t fill one of my medications because it was too soon to pick up and is a controlled substance. It was not too soon to pick up and it is NOT a controlled substance in Florida and my doctor has sent in several refills. When I politely mentioned this to her she said I’m not going to argue with you lady. When I told her I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t have my medication she shouted in front of maybe 10 other people in the area that “I shouldn’t take all my pills early” (which I would never do!). Everyone heard and it was such a humiliating accusation. She has no idea about the context of why I take the medication. Went to the manager, didn’t do much. I feel so bad for the other pharmacists, they’re sweet.

I usually do not write reviews but this one is important for me. The Pharmacist (supposed Supervisor) named Vanessa at the CVS in Surfside Florida (zip 33154) location with the last name "none of your business" as she said to me was the worst person I have dealt with in a customer service position where you are supposed to help patients. I had just spent the entire night at the ER with mom 78 year old mother who was not breathing well. Her doctor prescribed cortisone around 5:30pm and left a message on the CVS Pharmacy machine since no one answered the phone. This is my moms pharmacy right by her house. I live 30 minutes away so I rushed there to be able to get it before they closed at 7 so that she would be able to breathe better through the night.
When I arrived they told me that there was no message. I called the Doctor who luckily answered and had him on the phone. He told me that he had left a message awhile ago and asked if he could please speak to the pharmacist since they don't answer their phones. He was trying to call and they would not pick up. (yet she seemed to be able to speak to other people on the phone). I was asking if she could speak to him or find a solution since it seemed the machine was not working. She refused. ZERO effort in finding a solution. This is the type of Supervisors that CVS hire. Instead of helping you and finding a way when there is not much more time for me to get her medicine, She robotically sent me away. Very cold, and without even being able to look at me from a distance just said there is nothing she can do. She didn't even have the decency to approach me to speak to me; only from a distance said to go somewhere else, possibly Publix. At 6pm at night she is advising me to go to a pharmacy where the phones work. All of my mothers insurance info and details is at that CVS. Meanwhile most pharmacies were about to close and that meant driving another 30 minutes away from my moms house (in traffic) and having to see if I can get in touch with the doctor again at 7pm at night. meanwhile my mom is not breathing well......
I was beyond stressed worried about my mother and the timing of the situation. She was so nonchalant and could care less to help me resolve this that I burst into tears from the stress.
My mother will be moving her prescriptions to Publix where they treat people with kindness and they try to help and find solutions.
I am a CVS customer in the Sunny Isles Branch and they are very helpful and kind every time I go. Surfside needs a New Pharmacist that is there to help their customers, especially when its more an emergency situation; not push them away. I will NEVER go there if Vanessa is there again.
