As a regular customer who gets all our medications through the CVS Pharmacy on MLK, my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. I was prescribed a controlled substance, and while my insurance priced it at $100, a GoodRx discount could have reduced it to $30. However, when I tried to apply this discount, I was denied because store policy does not accept discount cards for controlled substances. Additionally, upon reviewing the customer feedback for this location, which averages a mere 2 1/2 stars, it's clear that my negative experience is not an isolated incident but indicative of broader service issues. This inflexible policy and overall poor service are unacceptable and a disservice to the community. As such, I am moving all our prescriptions to a different pharmacy and urge others to consider doing the same. It’s high time that CVS reevaluates its policies and service to truly meet the needs of its customers.
