My favorite place to do my grocery shopping. I find the self-check-out to be extremely convenient. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. Prices aren't the lowest but are still very reasonable. The variety and quality of the products are great. They have a very nice selection of produce, meats, cheeses and alcohol. I've only ever used the pharmacy a few times, but I've always has a pleasant experience. Another appealing aspect is that since it has no furniture, electronics, CDs or DVDs there are less people. At Wal-Mart you have to deal with bored kids looking through CDs and DVDs and generally just roaming the store (and yes, going to Wal-Mart is an activity for bored kids in Washington). You also have to deal with people that always buy in bulk, so you stand in line to behind someone with 100+ items in their cart. Oh, and Schnuck's has baggers who bag your groceries while Wal-Mart's checkers are also the baggers, making the time you spend in line longer than really necessary. Only time I ever encounter crowds or long lines at the register at Schnuck's are large grilling/cooking holidays (leading up to Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, etc).
