This is what happened to me last Thursday: I visited Crispy Donut Shop earlier today. I have to say, my experience was quite frustrating. I'd always had great donuts and customer service from the previous owner however, things took a turn when I visited today.
I placed my order for 2- dozen donuts when the new owner decided to skip over me to serve the man behind me. I was taken aback, especially when I asked why this happened and was told it was "the kind thing to do" because I was ordering more than the customer behind me. In addition, I waited for my turn behind two other customers.
Honestly, I found that reasoning baffling. Isn't living by the code "ladies first" the kind thing to do, or maybe that does not apply to people who look like me? I get that the shop might want to keep things moving, but it felt incredibly unfair and even rude. As a customer, I expected to be treated equally, regardless of how many donuts I wanted to buy.
I left without donuts as the owner screamed at me thanking me for my time as I walked out the door.
Maybe I'll give them another shot in the future, but for now, I can only give one star. Let's hope they can work on their customer service!
