Here’s my honest review on Crazy Vapor on East Main St.
The recently opened shop once intrigued me since it’s beginning. Crazy Vapor truly had promise. I would like to point out the workers Caitlan, Samita, and Ashleen provided excellent service with every visit to the shop. However, I would like to provide my complaints about the shop and it’s management to help shed light for future customers and possible applicants.
1. Exposed Wires
One of the times I was at the shop I couldn’t have notice but see the exposed wiring they had in the back. The potential danger for both the employees and customer could lead to a hazardous situation for the store along with the apartment complex above.
2. Management Forcing a Buy Once You Walk in
During another visit to the vape shop I was “greeted” by its management. I simply wanted to look around the shop to see the new things the had and was immediately bombarded with their sale tactics. Compared to the other employees I mentioned prior, Sam and Sarah would force a sale on you. They would also try to up sale you if you were to buy one item.
3. Crazy Vapor’s High Prices On Their Products
Compared to all the other vape stores i’ve visited: Loose Leafs, Just CBD, and Cigarillos are one of the few brands they seem to have higher prices on.
• The average price of Loose Leafs: $4-5 (sometimes seeing $10).. Crazy Vapor sells them for $15.
• The average price of Just CBD (specifically the small sized 10mg gummies): $32.50 (via the Just CBD website).. Crazy Vapor sells them for $42
4. How Management Treats Their Employees
Having worked a handful of retail and fast food jobs starting at the age of 17, I understand what’s it like to feel like your boss is berating you over a situation. However, I would see their management openly belittle and doubt the intelligence of their employees. Management often would “correct” how their employees would handle talking to a customer. From what I would see, the employees’ interactions were perfectly fine and they provided a helpful experience. Yet Sam and/or Sarah would jump in essentially taking their sale and begin belittling the workers.
5. Fake Reviews About the Store
I would like to point out, two of the reviews about the shop are by the family of the two managers. They’re not honest reviews and they were essentially put up to entice people with their “wonderful” experience. I am not saying of course that all the reviews are fake, it’s just those two.
Overall Experience
In conclusion, Crazy Vapor under delivered with their service and brought some Code and/or OSHA violations to light.
