This review was originally written when this was Cotton Cuts Club. Sometime late 2024, it changed names. Be aware my review is for my experience with Cotton Cuts Club, which may be one in the same as Craft Swap who knows. I have no interest in dealing with either company. If Craft Swap is a new business then I would think they would have their own Google reviews. I am assuming this is still CCC, as it makes no sense for a new business to take another one's less than stellar reviews.
Update
I am changing my review to one star. It certainly seems like the customer service is very hit and miss. And although I agree the perfectly die cut pieces are nice I am a firm believer that customer experience is most important.
Sadly I have to echo the experiences of others who have mentioned extremely slow shipping times and lack of response from Cotton Cuts when you reach out.
I had been a customer for a while. I participated in two of the PMQ. Not in the traditional method, but I purchased the subscriptions and finally over a year or more later got around to putting my quilts together.
I recently joined the Wild West PMQ and also ordered some fabric to finish a prior PMQ (needed the backing). Due to a series of events that I will not bore you with here I have since canceled my PMQ membership. Ultimately it was because of Cotton Cuts failure to reply in what I felt like was a timely manner. And like another person mentioned it was a substantially long time after I got tracking info and even longer after I paid that I received my order.
The primary reason I participated in the PMQ is because I stink at using a rotary cutter to cut my fabric. My pieces end up misshapen and then my quilt is, well you know. And to be honest I am still a beginner so I don't need any help making my quilt look flawed. Lol. I was disappointed to cancel my membership but I also was not going to pay for a continued service that I felt like I wasn't getting results on a customer experience level.
I have since discovered Accuquilt for fabric cutting. As of the posting of this review I haven't had a chance to use it. I just received it, however it appears that it will cut out accurate pieces like I was receiving in my monthly package from Cotton Cuts. If it works as good as it looks like it will then it will soon pay for itself in the long run.
I am not saying Cotton Cuts is a bad company, however it is barely a two star company for me based on customer service, experience, satisfaction, etc. I personally believe had the owners or management team been all that concerned about my complaint or the fact that I canceled my membership they would have offered a refund or discount, something. But nope all I received was a small apology with an excuse about them moving locations.
So if you are in the market for a mail order fabric subscription company I cannot recommend this one.
