This is the worst car buying experience I have ever had. A salesman by the name Chuck was selling his dad's car for what I thought was a great price of 5000.00. I asked about a warranty since it was on the ColoradoMotive sign outside. I was referred to a warranty company that i since have dropped for lack of producing warranty when i needed it. More to follow on that. I was told that the car needed a few things like a battery and brake pads. I had decided that I would have a windshield put in while this work was being done. They offered to drop it off at my work for final delivery. When the car showed up it was noticed by Chuck that steam was rising from the engine. Chuck said it was a burn off from his tech adding antifreeze , on a subzero day.
I went to drive the car and within 20 blocks the car began to overheat. I called Chuck and he came and met me and gave me a loaner car . I had loaner cars for about a month. I was told that a water pump, thermostat, and a head gasket needed to be replaced. I got the car back and it smelled of oil and had steam rising again. I was given a copy of work order of the work performed. I found out that Chuck did not work there anymore. It turns out that the overheating and oil smell was not taken care of in the first place prior to delivery to me. I lost faith in the quality of work for Autolab who was tasked with getting this car fixed before it was delivered to me. I took it to a repair shop and have had to put more money into the car in order to even drive it. The oil pan gasket, thermostat , crossover bar for cooling, head gaskets , cooling hoses have all had to be replaced to correct the overheating. This was a added 3000.00 that I have had to put into a car that was supposedly already fixed. I called Jason to ask if they actually did the repair since I have a invoice saying that they did. Jason did not bother to return my call. He did take the time to return the call from my auto shop and said that he didn't do the work , that parts were obtained thru a 3rd party and that the customer did the work. Chuck apparently had a Autolab work order made up to look like the work was done. I will be taking this up with the Better Business Bureau. Warranty claims kept getting declined.
Surprised that no response from owner.
