What a great (not so little) little museum of art! Well curated, well collected and displayed - one of the best I’ve seen for sure. I love these college campus settings too. Can’t wait for the graduating class to go on display next month!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I saw in this art museum! Especially on a college campus. I went on a weekday during the summer semester, so it was very empty. There is so much to see, and I took longer exploring, than I...Read More

Very friendly, helpful staff. Very large, modern museum for a college. A large collection of American artists. Probably one of the best museums in the country and its free.

Fantastic collection of American painting. Never ceased to amaze me how much this small Maine museum had to offer. As a Skowhegan alumni I'm glad to have seen it.

This museum is a treasure in our community, and it is surprising that more locals do not avail themselves of it. The museum is free, with a tasteful donation box at the front desk. Visitors can come in without needing to interact with staff unless...Read More

Great museum with collections of modern, American, folk, western, sculpture, photography, world art, and more. Admission is free which is always a plus. I think you could really see everything in the museum in about 3 hours. Parking is plentiful and there is a small...Read More

Going to a museum with a five year old is like being on a game show where you get points for how quickly you can view and read about each piece before your kid says they are bored. I think we made it almost an...Read More

I cannot say enough good things about this museum. It is free, open to the public, and has plenty of accessible, free parking. The collections are amazing and even the "non-artsy" patron will be amazed at how many artists he'll be sure to recognize, if...Read More

Outstanding, free to the public, museum. Rather than hocking art donations like Harvard does, Colby builds additions. Spacious and beautifully curated. Has hundreds of Whistler works. Several artists donate their work, e.g. Alex Katz. Has a small coffee and snack shop. I love this museum,...Read More

Giving the museum 5 stars based on its potential. The building is a beautiful space for the art. Unfortunately it's being renovated and many pieces are off exhibit.

Great free museum. Suffers a bit from leftist bias in the comments and text but if you ignore that, most of the art is good.

The staff is very friendly. The collection is much better than I hoped it would be. Really enjoyed the Alex Katz collection as well as the beautiful Undine statue. Will be back soon.
